A Citizen Co-Sponsor is our term for a person who has added their name in support of this new law to get money out of politics. That’s it. No money, no work, just add your name to make a difference.

We borrowed this term from Congress, because laws are typically "co-sponsored" by our representatives when they introduce a bill for consideration by the Senate and House of Representatives.

But with special interests having so much influence over Congress these days, our representatives aren’t likely to co-sponsor, pass, or even consider a law like the one we’re proposing. That’s why we need a million Citizen Co-Sponsors standing behind this law BEFORE we ask Congress to pass it. We need to show them we’ve got the political power to hold them accountable if they don’t support this sweeping reform.
